MAJLIS SIRIM – INDUSTRI 2010

Right intention, sincere effort and a good team play always fruit success and quality to an organization. Again it is a time for us to celebrate our success on being awarded the prestigious MS ISO 9001:2008 certification by SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd.

Majlis Sirim-Industri was held in Grand Lagoon Ballroom, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa on 19th November 2010. The grand event was organized by SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. to bring in all the industrial leaders and the team who were successfully obtained various certifications by SIRIM Bhd. The event was attended by our AAR Board Member Mr. Chow Kok Choy, Director of Research Dr. Kee Khan Kiang, Head of Crop Improvement Section Mr. Tan Cheng Chua, Research Officers and staffs from Tissue Culture Laboratory.

The event was started with brightly lit chandelier lights, welcoming speech and beautifully served Supreme Hot and Cold Appetizers Platter. Nearly 696 awards were presented to 608 organizations for 13 different schemes on the memorable night.

It was a moment of total ecstatic when our Head of Crop Improvement Section, Mr. Tan Cheng Chua went up to the stage to receive the honorable award from Yang Berbahagia Datuk Hajah Jamaliah Kamis, President of SIRIM Berhad.

This is a true recognition for the all rigorous and continuous effort by AAR Tissue Culture Laboratory Team – Mr. Tan Cheng Chua, Ms Choo Chin Nee, Ms Norazura Anuar, Ms Ee Chea Chea, Ms Suree Chuah, staffs and workers.

Last but not least, our special gratitude to the late Mdm. Ho Yuk Wah, the previous Head of Department, Quality Management Representative Ms Petronella and internal auditors who guide the Tissue Culture Laboratory Team all the way to achieve ISO 9001: 2008 certification.
